We will work directly with the University of Pennsylvania School of Social Policy and Practice:

1. To help influence and shape policies regarding issues of race and racism relevant to administration, faculty, staff, students and the Black community. This includes both employment and investment opportunities for all of the above.

2. To help maintain the legacy and tradition of the Penn Approach as well as the courses on racism, social change and political advocacy which were born out of a thirty year struggle at the school.

3. We will work with the School of Social Policy and Practice recruitment office to actively recruit Black males for the MSW and PhD programs.

4. We will work with the School of Social Policy and Practice development office to identify and recruit past Black male graduates to become active in the school alumni.

5. We will work with the past Black male graduates and existing Black male students to raise money for programs to encourage and enhance Black male presence in the school.

6. We will provide annual book scholarships to students of color who enter the University of Pennsylvania Graduate School of Social Policy and Practice in the advance standing, two-year, and three year programs.

7. We will be a permanent support group for Black men in social work, who are committed to understanding the increasing sense of nihilism that exists amongst Black male children and their adult counterparts; who feel they are endangered in a racist society.

8. We will engage and involve city, state, federal elected and appointed officials, as well as religious and community leaders from the Philadelphia community to support us in our efforts, as they relate to the university in general and the School of Social Policy and Practice in particular.

9. We will reach out to the Philadelphia Black community in general and the West Philadelphia Black community in particular, to work on projects with the Penn community and the School of Social Policy and Practice that are mutually beneficial to all.

10. We will provide a Combating American Racism award annually to graduating MSW students regardless of race, ethnicity, or gender that have demonstrated a committment to understanding and working to deconstruct American racism.
